The short version
- Text you paste or type, and Word files you open, are converted inside your browser. They are never sent to us or stored by us.
- There are no accounts, no sign-up and no forms that collect your text.
- We count visits and see which tools are used, with text boxes hidden from the recording tool. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are asked first.

1. Who we are
The site is run by Social-Impact Innovations Private Limited, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India (“we”). We decide how the limited data described below is used. Contact us at [email protected] about anything in this policy.
2. What we never collect
The converters, the Word file converter and the typing tool run as JavaScript in your browser. When you paste text, type, or open a .docx file, the conversion happens on your own device. Your text, your file, its name and its contents are not sent to our server or to any other service, and we have no copy of them.
Analytics events record only that a tool was used, for example “converted, 1,000 to 10,000 characters” or “Word file converted”. They never include the text, the file name or the file.
3. What is stored in your browser
Two tools keep something in your own browser storage, which never leaves your device:
- Typing tool draft (
bu-typing-draft, local storage): what you typed in free typing, so it survives an accidental reload. Press Clear draft, or clear your browser data, to remove it. - Text carried between tools (
bu-handoff, session storage): when you switch between Bamini → Unicode and Unicode → Bamini, your text is carried to the other page and deleted as soon as it is read.
4. Analytics
We load Google Tag Manager, which loads the tools below. They help us see which pages and tools are used and which need fixing.
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) receives the page you visit, the page you came from, your browser and device type, your approximate location (city level, worked out from your IP address, which Google does not store) and the tool events described in section 2. We keep this data for 14 months. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services; you can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) records how pages are used: clicks, scrolling and page layout, shown to us as heatmaps and replays. Masking is set to Strict and every text box, file name and result row is hidden, so Clarity sees that a box exists but never its content. Microsoft keeps recordings for up to 30 days. 5. Consent
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off until you agree in the consent banner (Google Privacy & messaging). If you decline, the site still works in full. Elsewhere, analytics run by default; you can block them with your browser’s cookie settings or a content blocker without losing any function.

Cookie names and lifetimes are set by these providers and can change. We do not set any cookies of our own.
7. Services that see your IP address
Like any website, loading a page means your browser connects to servers that see your IP address and browser details:
- Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it from attacks and keeps short-lived security logs (Cloudflare privacy policy).
- Our web host keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and fault-finding. They are not used to identify you and are deleted on the host’s normal schedule.
- cdnjs, run by Cloudflare, supplies the open-source JSZip library, only when you open a Word file. It receives the request for the library, not your file.
8. When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem you report, and we delete it when it is no longer needed. Please send the word that converts wrongly, not a whole confidential document.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. Because we never receive your text or files, in most cases the only data we hold is the aggregate analytics described above and any email you sent us. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
10. Children
The site is a general tool and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a service, we update this page in the same change and set a new effective date at the top.
